Nha Trang started after our first experience on a sleeper bus. Arriving at 6am both looking a little worse for ware having hardly slept during the twelve hour overnight journey! At first the bus appeared to be ok, even though it was two hours late to pick us up, we had seats which reclined to a sleeping position and we were on the lower deck so less movement. We really love Hoi An. Today we arrived in Hue and our second new years eve is almost upon us! we checked into our hotel the Waterland which had a great location for seeing the sights and the most friendly hotel staff we have met. Our Ha Long Bay tour started as most do with a four hour bus journey from Hanoi. It would have taken alot less time but our bus driver had loads of friends along the way which I guess he hadn't seen for ages because he couldn't resist popping in to see them all. The bus journey from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang was long, finally leaving at Midday we made our way North through the mountain villages along a paved but very winding road. The journey took just 7 hours but we were travelling on a fairly new bus so it was pretty comfortable.
