Today we had a little lay in and then made the most of the kitchen and cooked some breakfast - washed up our dishes and then jumped back in the pools for one last swim. We got our stuff together and headed back out of Rotaroa and to Cambridge. We decided that we could cover a little more distance and headed off to the coromandel peninsular, there was a small free camp spot in Anzac bay do we drove there - as usual the drive was filled with amazing scenery and a cool road. When we got there the campsite was closed which left us contemplating our options - we could drive around 2 hours to another campsite or head back to Auckland. We chose Auckland as it was a 2 hour drive as well and we were getting a bit sick of the car! On the way back we stopped and watched an amazing sunset over the sand dunes the drive want well and we arrived by early evening. A chill on the sofa and some beers and we were truly home again!
