Today we got up and to make good use of our last few days in New Zealand we decided to book a tour to Hobbiton - obviously this was more my idea than Hanas but she agreed and was secretly looking forward to it. In true style we left a little later than we should of and arrived a little late, however the lovely people at Hobbiton let us on the next tour. We started around 3 o'clock where we got on a tour bus that took us deep into the giant sheep farm that was used to create the film set. We arrived at the small bus stop where our tour begun, the tour guide was really good and pointed out all the main bits from the films and books and told us loads of information about the actual filming and creation of the shire! The tour took around 2 hours and took us past loads of hobbit houses which due to being a permanent structure actually had planning permission and our officially classed as a houses! (For the nerds reading this) We saw the party tree and field, bag end and lots of other bits and pieces - we finished the tour off with a short walk to the green dragon pub for a pint of Hobbitons own brewed ale! This was a really good day and amazing to see the place in real life and even Hana enjoyed it even if she was laughing at me all the way around! After the long drive back we just chilled on the sofa and got an early night!
