We woke up a little chilly but luckily we grabbed a giant blanket which the girls used to warm themselves up! Today we are driving to the east cape in preparation for the sunrise tomorrow - it was another amazing twisty road that took us along a coastal cliff with views of a volcanic island! It was a lush day to drive and we spent the day stopping at me various view points and even a beautiful area which had SWINGS! Having not been on some swings for years we jumped at the chance to have a go! After making ourselves feel sick and now feeling like a little kid again we set off back on the twisty road. I could spend hours writing adjectives and really descriptive sentences, I could even upload a million photos but none of them would show just how this bit of road really felt like - twisting along picturesque landscapes on a smooth Tarmac road to bouncing along a beachside gravel track, clinging onto the edge of a cliff - these are the driving days where 6-8hours of driving just disappear! We finally arrived in Te Aroroa? Where we turned onto the east cape road, this lead us to our campsite which sat on top of a windy hill with the beach and sea stretching in front of us! We made some burgers and got an early night as we have an nice early morning tomorrow!
