We wake up fairly early, though still not on enough sleep, to get all organized for Roma! The hotel prepares a nice little breakfast for us of cured meats, eggs, chocolate, fruit, and coffee. I like florence and am sad we never got to spend a proper amount of time here. We are back on a train all too soon, and try to doze on the 4ish hour to termini. All went by without incident, except for in Milan, where people were moving far to slow, and I uncaringly ran over a few people's feet...mwa ha ha. Preparing ourselves for the slightly rough/ghetto area of central Rome, we walk around trying to find our hotel. Bit confusing, as its the same situation as florence (in a square terrace style building) but there are about 5 hotels in one building now, so you've got to look at the buzzers to know which ones yours. We get there in the end though, and to wildest joy, find that we have been upgraded to an apartment!!! Apparently there was a gas leak in the air conditioning, dorm like room we were originally going to have! The owner is very nice and says we can have the 250 euro a night place for the same price as the other one, we don't even have to pay the difference! And just for perspective, the other one was 70 euros a night! We settle in, and walk back over to the station to collect the girls, we are pretty excited to tell them the news! We help them with their massive amounts of luggage, and excitedly show them the apartment! Feeling content, we decide that some take away Indian would be a perfect way to spend the evening:) we look up reviews for ones in the area and map our journey though the dodgy area. All the reviews say its the best, as long as you dot hang around and are in a group haha! We find it easily enough, and are excited about how cheap it is! We order a mini feast and rush back home with it:) it's so, so good! Just what we all felt like, butter chicken, roganjosh, vindaloo, pakoras, garlic and butter nan! We shared some wine and had delightful evening chatting away. It was then time for a much deserved sleep, in preparation for a big tourist style day tomorrow.
