We got home safe and sound today. It was a long journey home, we don't care for layovers, but when you get a plane ticket as cheap as we did, you take what you can get. This morning, we got up nice and early and hit the beach and took it all in one last time. We then went to breakfast and packed up to head home.

Our trip was so much fun. Especially because we planned it pretty last minute due to the cheap deal, so made it seem that much adventurous. Our resort had a few issues such as a leaky ceiling, fuzzy tv reception, but we didn't spend all that much time in the room, so nothing to complain about. We just got pretty spoiled on our honeymood at the Secrets resort, so since that was our basis for comparison, it was a bit of an adjustment. But the food was amazing, drinks were good, people were friendly, we got some awesome cultural experiences, and saw some scenery you would think only exists in your dreams. Dominican Republic was truly an awesome experience.

Now it is back to reality. As with every trip, we learn something new. And just like every trip, when we get home, we are reminded just how truly lucky we are to live where we do and are so blessed with so many things. We are constantly reminded to be forever humble and thankful.
