For this next entry here I was going to just kind of give you a feel for a typical day at sea, and try and prove to you neigh-sayers that what I am doing actually is work and a lot of studying. Well, we just left Brazil behind and have begun our 8 day voyage to South Africa. We won't see land again for a long time. I had a lot of fun here, but honestly I am not too sad to leave. With all the dangerous stuff here and with Carnival, it just wasn't my scene. Plus I have been so excited about South Africa that I was always kinda not too thrilled about Brazil. Today was AWESOME!! I woke up at like 7:15 this morning (that part wasn't so awesome) and ate breakfast and got ready to go to the Circus. It was incredible. It was only like a 25 minute bus ride from our port, I fell asleep on the way there. I went to bed at like 2 am last night, so this early start thing was no good. So today was an interesting day. Me and about 14 other girls got up early and met outside the ship so we could go to church. We had planned on going to this one specific church, which didn't work out, so our shuttle driver (who was awesome by the way) ended up driving around for like 30 minutes trying to find a different church. We finally found one and we just saw that it was huge, we had no idea what denomination it was or anything, but we decided to go and see...

Well, we arrived in Brazil safely early this morning! It was really great to get off the boat and walk around. Me and a bunch of other people went to this marketplace and looked around. It was crazy fun. They have such beautiful stuff there, and it's the type of place where you can bargain, so I got some good deals on some souvenirs for a few people. I didn't really buy anything for me yet, but it was only the first day, and I figure I'm going to like 8 more coun...
