We made it! It was quite a long flight, and usually I can sleep anywhere, but the flight seemed extra long because I couldn't sleep for very long. But no matter, after traveling all through the night, it felt great to finally get to our resort. AND we got here 30 minutes before lunch was over, so we got to enjoy a delicious lunch buffet before heading to our room.

This is definitely a different experience than our honeymoon. We stayed at a Secrets Resort in Costa Rica, and we chose this resort, The Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue, because of the super cheap price. There is a Secrets here, but we just couldn't afford it this time around, this was a rather last minute thrifty vacation decision. So it took a little adjusting, but all around, all is well. Our room is ok, but we will be hanging around the pool and beach for the most part, so no need for fancy. I am not complaining, however, the difference in service and luxury is very apparent. BUT, we are still at an adult-only all inclusive resort, so really, everything is all good. ;)

Today, we lounged at the pool and beach for a bit, and enjoyed dinner at the buffet (we were too late to try and reserve one of the fancier restaurants). AND the best part, was we ended the evening with a Michael Jackson Tribute show the hotel put on. It was AMAZING! And so cool it was on our first night here. The MJ Impersonator nailed it, and all the dancers and performers were just crazy good. So awesome that the show was our first night here.

We were a little nervous the weather would not be ideal, as the weather forecast just said rain the whole time we were here. It was a little cloudy when we got here, but the sun peaked through a bit. It poured rain at night while we were watching the MJ show, but stopped before we had to go to our room. We are hoping for sunny weather for at least a little bit if our stay! We are very aware we came here during hurricane season, which is part of the reason why it was so cheap, but it is still super warm, in the mid to high 80s, so really no complaints here.

Although technically we were 4 hours earlier, since neither of us slept on the plane too well, we were excited to turn in for the night. However, we did take advantage of the included 24 Hour Room service, and got a little snack before bed. ;)
