Today was a pretty laid back day. We were super tired from our excursion the day before, so we slept so well! We got up in plenty of time to catch breakfast, book our excursion for tomorrow, and go to the awful timeshare meeting the hotel set us up at so we could recieve our free gift. ;)
Don't worry, Jaime and I cannot be convinced. We sat through the presentation, we told them that we were not even the slightest bit interested, and even more importantly, do not have the money. Ha ha. But since we sat there nicely and gave up an hour of our day, we got our free gift. It was a cool gift bag with a large bottle of local rum, and other random knick knacks. It was worth it.
Since we ate such a big breakfast, we skipped lunch, and spent the whole rest of the day at the pool. Hanging by the pool bar, which means, yes we did partake in quite a bit of drinking. You gotta get your money's worth at these all-inclusives! So we had our spot at the bar, made friends with everybody who swam by. Met a few people from the states, two awesome dudes from Europe, and spent most of our time with two couples from Canada. We just enjoyed the sunshine, making new friends, and drinking the day away. ;) My favorite drink was called a Choco Loco. It was kind of like a Pina Colada with chocolate syrup in it, I also enjoyed frozen mango/rum combo. Jaime enjoyed the local beer - Presidente. We left the pool a bit early because we had 6pm dinner reservations at an Asian Fusion restaurant there at the resort (also included, you just have to make reservations at the fancier restaurants, but not the buffet). So we cleaned up and headed to dinner.
So honestly, even though we did drink most of the day away, neither Jaime or I are HUGE drinkers, so the all you can eat food is the more exciting thing for us. Jaime had the best beef/broccoli he has every had, and I had an amazing cauliflower/tofu dish. After dinner, we checked out some shops as our resort had this whole little "village" sections with tons of stores/kiosks. Then we checked out the buffet just to see what they had, as they had a different theme every night. So, yes, we will both admit, we went to dinner after we ate dinner. Hey, we are on vacation, alright? ;)
