I made more than 1000 pictures of different locations and occasions. And as they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. I will only show a handfull to keep things fresh. And that is if we have Internet access that allows it.
Thailand is amazing. The food is good and it is cheap. Not dirt cheap but like everything is always on sale. We bought so many things in the first 10 days that we have to be careful that we don't use all of our budget on souvenirs and fake brand stuff.
We seriously spend all of our evenings in the night markets to look for great bargains. So far we have bought 4 pair of brand new ray bans. A heap of bracelets and jewelry and at one market we almost bought a squirrel on a leash just because it looked as lizet would say it extremely cute: aaaawwh wat schattig. Kunnen we hem niet meenemen? She was asking it with every dog or tiny fur ball we saw. If we would have gone with it we could have opened our own pet store!
(And yes I knew I was kind of right I told lizet that she should not take so many clothes. She bought a loooot :p it still fits though and she never complains)
As you can hear we have the nights covered when it comes to entertainment and I like to make it a sport to haggle with Thai people for everything. I notice when you offer ridiculous amounts like 34 or 84 or anything out of the usual and make them laugh they give you a better price then the regular tourist. Still I can't say for sure and probably they laugh the hardest when I am gone with crappy merchandise worth nothing.
So now you might wonder what we are doing during the rest of the time. We lay with tigers and ride on elephants. We have been touched by Lady boys and blessed by monks. We have been to hill tribes on the scooter and seen ancient temples. We met people from all around the world visiting Thailand for different things reasons. I think the best thing to do is to watch the pictures whenever they are there and enjoy them.
One last thing. The day with the elephants was spectacular and for us both one of the most coolest things we had ever done. To ride on a beast who could crush you to death in a moments notice gives you a rush. The elephant really listened to our commands and it felt like he took care of us too. At the end of the day we could take them for a swim while we were still riding them. Words can't describe the day we had but maybe our pictures can.
