Crossed the boarder into WA around lunch time today after free camping last night at a place called Bunda Cliffs.
Stopped at Head of the Bight on the way at the whale information centre and went to the lookout and was fortunate enough to see two Southern Right Whales just below the lookout platform. Magnficent creatures to watch as they moved slowly passed and then out of sight.
A little bit more of sight seeing and we decided to call it a day and found a free camp site at Bunda Cliffs. At first we were the only ones there but very soon another 7 vans turned up so there was company and security for the night.
The view from these very high cliffs with a sheer drop of many meters is amazing in both directions.
As the sun rose with a very bright orange glow the night colours soon turned to day and it was time to move on.
After passing through the quarantine check point at Boarder Village we were finally in WA.
With check in done at the caravan park it was time for a bit of sight seeing again this time looking at the remains of the old telegraph station, which is gradually being consumed by the shifting sand dunes. All very interesting history.
