on the way from dunedin to lake tekapo were the moeraki boulders, these are really round boulders next to the sea on the beach and they look pretty cool.

the drive to lake tekapo was amazing, we went past some glacial lakes and the colours were so vivid and clear like powder blue and deep greeny blue. it was stunning.

lake tekapo was really nice and the hostel was ok except the really sqeaky bunk beds, really, it was sooo annoying that one of the girls just put her mattress on the floor in the end. we cooked mashed potato and broccoli and it was a massive dissapointment haha, our butter had gone bad so we threw it out and the broccolli tasted fishy somehow. there was a lush sunset that night over the water and i did get a photo but a little late as it was just starting to fade.
