Today has been a much better day!!! we woke up feeling a million times better, and the sun was shining again (much better than the torrential rain we experienced yesterday!!) which of course lifted our moods! we decided to check out the city and so set off on our travels, until we came across a huge shopping mall!! of course we couldnt resist and had to go inside! once inside we found a pet shop that sold kittens and puppies and were in there for what seemed like hours taking photos and talking to them!!! when we'd finally dragged ourselves away and left the mall, we bumped into some more people we knew from Asia who had hired out a 4x4 for the day. they were heading up to Port Douglas and so we went along for the ride and spent the whole day sunbathing on the beaches!! we did get burned as a result and aren't looking our best right now! (glad none of you can see us!!) by the way - we mucked up the date of this journal entry!!! it should actually be the 24th October, not the 30th!!!
