We arrived in Airlie Beach yesterday evening, after another long drive. We did the usual - dumped our bags, jumped in the shower and headed out for dinner with the Princess Express crew!! lol i guess your wondering what Princess Express is eh? well, on the Oz bus today there was not a single boy (except for Thai, but he doesn't count!) so the drivers Paul and Frat decided to name it the Princess Express!! we had hours of fun making a mess by throwing toilet rolls up and down the bus, and then chuckin balls at the windscreen whilst driving!! We had a moment of panic when we spotted a police car, and Paul started shouting at us to sit down, put our seatbelts on and turn off the music! but it was quickly over and the games started once again! so that night we had dinner at Beaches, and stayed there for drinks afterwards (the 3 jugs of wine and 2 jugs of beer provided by the drivers went down a treat!) After a bit of a boogie we moved on to an Irish Bar which had a live band, but didnt stay long as the music was a bit heavy-going!!! we have to say we were slightly disappointed by the nightlife - especially seeing how it is supposed to be a mega party town! We've clearly been exposed to too much, too young!!! Well that was yesterday, and today has been totally amazing!! we have been on an ocean rafting trip sailing around the Whitsunday Islands and snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef!!! the fish were brilliant, so friendly that they came right up to our faces and were touching us! we also saw a huge fish/small whale type thing (although neither of us can remember what its called!!!) after the snorkel we went to Whitehaven Beach for lunch, which has the whitest sand in the whole world, i've never seen anything like it - it has to be the most beautiful place i've ever seen! after a bit of sunbaking on the beach we headed into the trees for a bush walk up to the highest point on the island so that we had a panaramic view, and it was even nicer than being on the beach itself!!! so we arrived back to Airlie at around 5pm, absolutely shattered from our action packed day, grabbed a Subway for dinner (yuk!) and headed to bed for a good sleep!!!
