Byron Bay is most definately one of the nicer places down the east coast! We arrived on thursday and were greeted by torrential rain!! So we did what we always do and wandered around the shops until the cold go the better of us, and we retreated to our room with a good magazine and a bar of chocolate!!! We thought this was acceptible though as it was the first time in almost a month that we've had our own room!!! Well almost - we're sharing with a girl we've met called Charlie, so it's nearly our own! After our hibernation session we decided to do the thing that has to be done in bad weather, and go to the cinema!! We saw A Good Year, which wasn't actually too bad!!

When we woke up on Friday the weather looked as though it had improved and hte sun was shining so we donned our bikinis and headed down to the beach, but suprise suprise as soon as we got down there the clouds came out and it suddenly became freezing! So it was back to the shops for us, but we soon got bored and so Wiss headed off on a million mile trek to the lighthouse and the most easterly point on the Australian mainland, and Sophie kicked back and took it easy on the beach as the sun decided to show its face again!! That evening we went for dinner in Cheeky Monkeys and stayed for a drink or two, and then headed home to bed, stopping at the bakers on the way for pudding!! yum yum!!

By Saturday the weather had well and truly improved and so we hired bodyboards and went down to the beach for the day, which was a funny sight I have to say!! We looked like drowned rats by the end of the day and only managed to catch about two waves on the board, but it was brilliant fun!!! OOO and Charlie spotted Kelly Osbourne in town (lol thats our claim to fame, and it wasn't even us that saw her! :$) Another crazy thing that happened during our crazy day - we were happily sitting in our room after a hard days sunbathing, and we look out the window and see a guy standing in the hostel who was on our tour in Asia!! Of all the places!! Its a small world I tell you!! So we finished the day with some tasty fish and chips and a bottle of wine on the beach that evening, then headed back to our room to try and pack up all our stuff for another move the following day!!
