Ah Brisbane!!! Not one of the most exciting places on earth i have to say, but still, its been an experience nevertheless!! We arrived here on monday evening and checked into Bunk, a really cool and modern hostel! Sophie and Fran (the dutch girl we met) went for dinner (really yummy pizza mmmm!) and then we just chilled out for the rest of the night. I have to say this relaxation period was well deserved after our stressful day!! The reason for this being an idiot of a bus driver. Earlier on that day, we made our way to the pick up point for the Oz bus, and when we got there the driver said that Christen wasn't on the list, and would have to wait to see if there was a spare seat. It turns out the same had happened to another girl. So everyone started getting angry, and the driver basically said it wasn't his problem, and that he 'couldn't just magic seats into the bus'!! To cut a long story short, we phoned the office who said we were on the bus, and we made it to Brisbane, although we have to say, without any sort of apology from the driver, so as u can imagine we weren't too impressed!!

On Tuesday we decided to check out the city, and ended up shopping for most of the day, before walking for miles through Chinatown and then taking lots of photos of the Brisbane Bridge. We cooked way too much pasta for dinner and so had to go the supermarket to buy some containers to put it in - so we've been eating it cold for the past 3 days and are now well and truly sick of pasta!!!

Wednesday wasn't much of improvement in the excitement stakes!!! We ventured over to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in the morning, and saw lots and lots of koalas and kangaroos, and even a talking Cockatoo!! It was nice, but we'd already seen most of the animals at Australia Zoo, so it wasn't anything different! In the afternoon we somehow ended up back at the shopping mall again, but managed to drage ourselves away and jump on a free public bus to the botanical gardens. However........just as we got there it started pouring with rain, so we sat on the bus and went back to where we started!!! All fun and games!!!
