Ah Noosa!! A little bit of luxury! (Although we are only dreaming of it, and unfortunately are still staying in 7 bed dorms!!) Noosa is like a luxury holiday resort for the Aussies, and the houses here sell for as much as $10million!! Although, i have to say, when we arrived yesterday it was hard to see why!!! The reason for this was the weather - the rain was torrential to say the least, not the mention the thunder and lightening!! Cue the raincoats!! We werent' going to be defeated and so donned our flip flops and trekked down to town for a spot of retail therapy!! But looking back, that moment of madness is one we definately won't be repeating!! We were soaked through, as were our backpacks, including our tickets and passports!! We weren't happy bunnies, as you can imagine!! We decided we weren't leaving the hostel again that night and so ate in the bar with our new dutch friend Fran, and our even newer Thai friend Rasjak!!! Today has been much better though we're pleased to report!!! We woke up this morning (at 6.30am yet again!!) and the sun was shining in the bright blue skies!! So we set off on another of our day trips, this time to Australia Zoo (which is Steve Irwins zoo). It was a brilliant day, we saw croc shows, snake shows, tiger shows and bird shows. We also stroked a koala and walked in amongst lots of kangaroos!! We fell in love with the wombats and the dingos, and even kind of liked the Tasmanian Devils!! Another highlight was visiting Steve Irwins memorial - rows and rows of signed ranger shirts with messages to him and his family on. It was really sweet to see! So here we are at the end of another action packed day!! We're going out for mexican now, before heading back to pack up all our things in preparation for the move to Brisbane tomorrow!
