We have been staying in possibly one of the most beautiful places on earth!!! we arrived on thursday and went straight out with the group to do sea kayaking!!! after Thailand we vowed never to do it again but it was probably one of the funniest things we've done since we've been away!!! the sea was really rough and there were huge waves, and we aren't amazing at kayaking at the best of times!!! by the end of it we'd nearly capsized about a million times, screaming everythime we hit a wave as the boat was totally flooded out!!! sophie also kept smacking wiss round the head with her oars (we said we were amateurs!!!) to top it all off, when we finally made it back to the shore (we have to say that we were the first girls back!!) we tried dragging the boat along the sand and slipped and landed on our bums in front of everyone!! its a great way to make friends!!! :D we've been staying in a hostel, but its like a resort - its right on the beachfront and has a lovely pool, so we've been relaxing and sunning ourselves for the past 3 days!! we had a brainwave of trying to cook for ourselves to save some money, and as a result of our very poor cooking skills, haven't eaten anythin but jam on toast!! we also did a bush walk in the national park here on magnetic island, which was very hot and dusty but well worth doing as we got to see 8 koalas!!! apparently its a record amongst the oz experience guides, with 4 being the most ever spotted!!!
