The last week has been ordinary enough. On Sunday, Mr John took us to a "mountain" which is more of a small hill. At the top, there was a camp that used to be used by US soldier during the Vietnam war. It was quite interesting to see. Apparently there are two other camps very similar on the same "mountain" but now it's become a kind of couples retreat. There are picnic tables and benches that overlook the view. We even saw a young couple while we were there. Mr John was telling us stories of his youth when he used to go up there with his young sweetheart on his moped. But I can totally understand why its so couply because the view is quite amazing. Mr John even suggested we go camping there which could be quite fun actually.
Anyway, on Monday, we went to the nursery where a few of the children randomly decided to take of their trousers and pants. One of them peed in the sand pit. But we got to make playdough snails which is always fun J.Then we went ot the tessoban where they had randomly decided to go to Mukdahan for lunch, so we went to which was good.
At the primary school on Tuesday we had quite a fun day. We playedwith some of the girls all morning and after lunch they got us to join in some games, like the thai equivalent of duck duck goose. It was really good fun. Then today, Wednesday, we got split up for the first time. I had chosen to teach level one so I got taken to "primary 3" where I "taught them" but with no warning and no plan we didn't do much. But now I have a timetable for the primary school. I teach p2 on Tuesday and p3 on Wednesday. I get an hour before lunch and an hour before the end of the day as free time, so I'm happy. Only 3 hours a day and it also means that (since the English skill between p2 and p3 isnt that different) I can get away with only planning one lesson a week. Good times.
