Home JNow I'm back home, adjusting to life in English with no siesta.I have the greatest parents possible; they never discouraged me from doing anything (except for hitchhiking…) and I thank them for that.
I had an amazing semester - I visited 10 countries and their capitols, learned to be a traveler and not a tourist, biked over 250 miles through a foreign country, hiked, surfed and hang-glided spontaneously, became an international swimmer, visited more museums than I can count, made amazing friends, ate amazing food, observed la saeta in Sevilla during Holy Week, went to Reconciliation in Catalan, and got mistaken for a local twice.Oh, and did I mention I learned Spanish?
I want to end this blog with something my swim coach told me, something I kept with me in all my travels:After I told him I was going to miss practice for a trip he shrugged, smiled, and said "Andres, hay que aprovechar,"which means, "Andrew, you have to make the most of it," and I did.
