Slight change of route! Met a guy on my Hervey Bay bus who was heading for rainbow beach, the main stop just before Hervey. Whilst speaking to him I realised there was no reason I wasn't visiting there, and thought it was silly not to, so whilst on the bus changed all my plans for that evening and booked a night at dingos in rainbow beach. Most people go there as another gateway in to Fraser Island so I wasn't sure what was actually around the area. Soooo glad I stopped of though, one of those meant to be moments! The hostel put on a sunset walk which I went on on a whim; one of the best things I've done on the trip. It wasn't on the beach at all as I'd thought but over Carlo sandblow, a massive stunning sand dune. We got there early enough to take some day pictures before getting some classic posey photos with the sunset. An incredible experience :) also bumped in to some English girls which I hadn't had any contact details for but had got on with really well - so it all just fell in to place! Treated myself to a proper takeaway pizza that night (heaven) with my roommate before having a chilled night at the hostel bar watching a couple of guys sing (amazingly at that) with a late night stroll along rainbow beach.

After getting over the disappointment of missing free pancakes this morning, I went down to check out the beach in the morning sun. A very peaceful bit of coastline with some lovely tributes displayed for past tragedies that have happened in the area which I spent quite a while looking over. Nothing too major! Just about to pop on my midday greyhound bus to actually go to Hervey Bay this time! Amy x
