So on 11th Feb we crossed the border from Mexico to Belize via speedboat!! Leaving Mexico was a touch scary what with all the armed police & sniffer dog inspecting each of our bags.

Speedboat took 2 hours to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Was ridiculously bumpy (see photo of waves out the door behind my seat) however managed to enjoy an 1 hour Will Smith in Independence Day & the rest napping. Am learning to sleep on anything!

Immigration & Customs in San Pedro was simply two desks in a shack on the quay!

Next we took a small speedboat to Caye Caulker as the sun was setting. Caught a big wave right in my eye as I took photos which was refreshing!

Finally our feet touched the sandy streets of Caye Caulker...
