At 8 30 this morning our alarms went off. I had to peel myself up and out of my bunk because it was so early. I have to say living out of a cage is pretty interesting. I nearly accidentally changed my code on thelock the other day, so i nearly got locked out of all the possessions I'm carrying ! We made it to breakfast today thank god. After woofing down our cereal, bagels and muffins, we got ready and searched our suburb for a tattoo parlour. Bek got a tattoo on her ribs of five birds she has always wanted. It was super dooper quick which was perfect because we didn't have much time to make it to our Harrods vintage bus tour. We did make it just on time. Our seats were on top of the green double decker bus that had an open roof top. It took us through a guided tour around the sunny streets of London and to many tourist attractions. We saw the Westminster abbey, Big Ben, the London eye and St Paul's Cathedral to name a few. It also stopped at the Tower of London where we boarded a big boat that took us down the river Thames. It was so scenic to see the city from the water and the weather was perfect. The bus then drove us back to Harrods where we hopped of and were lead inside to the restaurant tea area. It was overwhelming to see the formally dressed waiters, dainty cushioned chairs and tables laid with clean white table cloths. Once we were taken to our own table, w were served bubbly champagne that tasted amazing. So much better than passion pop! Next came the freshly made scones accompanied with jam, cream and rosewater. Sitting in Harrods with my two friends sipping on champas and indulging in scones, silver service ,it was pretty surreal. That was until Molly let a big loud burp rip, I think some of the waiters were in shock! Then to polish off the remaining of our scones tea was brought out too. I couldn't believe that even in the toilet it was decorated and very formal looking. There was a mirror stand with perfumes on it as well. We walked around Harrods for about two hours because its so big and kind of similar to David jones but so much more expensive. We found a long sequin dress worth $160000 , and also a chinchilla fur coat worth $50000 , so ridiculous !! After looking at all the expensive clothes, shoes , toys and furniture we decided to eat out at gourmet burger, a restaurant mums friend Janet reccomended. Although a tad pricey it was so worth it. I ordered a kiwi burger that was filled with avo, beetroot,an egg, beef, cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was so deliciously tasty. We also ordered sweet potato chips that came with tangy bacon aeoli. I think it is the most full we all have been since the whole trip. Xoxo Alice
