Lauterbrunnen was one of the coolest places I've been to on the trip. It's a tiny little town in Switzerland with one main street and a strip of shops. Italy was so diverse in every city we visited ! Our first stop was Venice where we also met up with Molly's friend Tessa. The town of Venice is so pretty. There are canals everywhere you look. There's always gondalas galore packed with tourists, and other little boats whizzing around. So Ios in a nutshell, it was party central! I think we went out nearly every night. The nightlife was so crazy I loved it. Each bar/club had a different theme to it which made them so fun. Santorini was by far the most beautiful greek island we visited on contiki. When the coach took us up to our hotel, the view was amazing. You could see the outline of other parts of Santorini, and little clusters of white houses on top of hills. We did a day trip around the island one day. We spent 3 nights in the lovely Mykonos. Our hotel, hotel Aphrodite was situated right next to Kalafatis beach. I swear the water here is the perfect hangover cure. A quick dip in the clear crystalline water and you're cured. One night we had a toga party by the hotel pool with our contiki group.
