We thought we needed some time for relaxation, so decided to spend a few days at Lake Boondooma, just north of Kingaroy. What a beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the 'great outdoors'. We made the most of the beautiful weather to do some bush walking and kayaking on the lake. Put out some pots to try to catch 'red claw' for entree, but unfortunately only one yabby and a catfish! On Sunday we found a cute little Baptist church in Proston of only about 10 people and ended up being invited to lunch in the hall with others and a prayer time to thank God for the rain! The people there were so welcoming and shared about the difficulties the farmers in the area face and how they need to be supported. After that refreshing time, it was on to a free camp near Eidsvold and a few bush walks at Cania Gorge in between showers - remnants of cyclone Ita I suppose. Tonight it's quite cool, so able to have a fire and share with our fellow 'free-campers'!
