Left our group which was emotional I shall miss team wagon wheel immensely! But onto a new adventure with just the two of us :)
We got a bus to San Fransisco after mart and adam said an emtional goodbye. It was meant to be a nice bus how very wrong we were. Ha it was absolutely rank!!! The worst kind of bus and talking to people who have just been camping with ants for 5 weeks that's saying something. But we made it anyway even if it was an hour and a half late.
All I will say is GOD BLESS GOOGLE MAPS. Making our lives so much easier. I love having a walking sat nav and picking up random wifi. First time we properly have used our backpacks. Poor little me struggled on the walk and it's made my dermal piercing really sore :( but I'm hard an did it yay. Found our hostel - damn you San Fran and all your hills!!
Hostel is really nice so small and cite everything's really secure and they are super friendly.
Got up today...showered- amazing not to be dirty any more and they gave us a real towel! We walked today and walked and walked. Checked our pier 39 so cool tonnes and tonnes of shops. Had some lunch overlooking Alcatraz. We explored Washington square which had groups doing yoga and tai kon doe.
We then found lomard street windest street ever walked down which was pretty cool. Had to go up the steepest street ever to get to it mind u!
Stopped for a drink in some random arty cigar bar which was pretty cool. Marts attempting to do 2 days off the beer so had a coke but I must say San Fran is a place to drink in so he's doing we'll.
we explored china town- it's the next largest outside of actual china!
We then went down to union square- mentalist place. We didn't understand what was going on but now we know that there was a Japanese pop concert on there so naturally there was a million Japanese people in fancy dress.
I teased myself by going window shopping in Macy's and America apparel..we grabbed some food from a seven eleven and headed back to the hostel. Cannot work out the maps here they don't make any sense!!!
Been chatting all night to the coolest people. Met an Irish bloke who has had the most crazy adventure jumping freight trains and sleeping rough. Had Been looking at bike rentals all day which were quite expensive but some lad just gave us a leaflet for cheap so looks like that's our day tomorrow. Plus if we have the bikes maybe we could find the supermarket we've been after.
