We woke up at 5am the next day so we could get an early start on the driving. We had all forgotten the time difference between Darwin and Western Australia so we would have an hour and a half less less to complete the journey. So today we planned to drive around 1000km!

We did manage to get to see some interesting places though, such as ngumpan cliff, I'm pretty sure it was called this, and also passed through some small towns such as Fitzroy crossing, where grapes cost $19.99 a kilo. That's like £14.00! Crazy. We also went through the Kimberleys, where Daniel insisted I had my photo taken with a certain kind of tree, think he said it was something like the Boags. And we passed through Halls Creek and Kunnunara before crossing the border into the Northern Territory. We decided to make camp just outside Kunnunara for the night, as there were many kangaroos on the road and we didn't want to add to the amount of road kill on the road.

The next day we were all pretty tired after a restless night, here the cows in the next field semt to keep us up all night. It was time to get into Darwin though, we had 600km, we passed through Katherine quickly, and at around 2.45pm we arrived in Darwin - the home of the crocodile!

It was an intense trip, 4200km in six days meant we didn't get to see too much and I missed out on some of the places I would have liked to have gone on the tour such as Coral Bay, Exmouth, Broome and Wolfe Creek. But it just meant I would have an excuse to come back some day. The road trip was still fun, a lot better than my last one, and I was happy I had made two more friends on my travels.

But now it was time to see what Darwin had to offer me.
