I arose early the next day ready to crack on with the day and hopefully find signal. German Rebecca had other ideas though slowly plodding around. As I said in my last blog I was losing the plot. Eventually we set off for the day. Rebecca once again taking control of the wheel. Much like the other days conversation was limited to one word answers and her disagreeing with my every comment, so I decided to get some sleep until we reached Head of Bight. This place was a famous whale watching spot, at $15 a head though we thought it was a bit steep. We spent a while contemplating what to do and finally decided to go for it as there was nothing else to see today apart from straight roads surrounded by dessert. We weren't disappointed either, we headed down to the viewing area where we saw around twenty whales frolicking and splashing about. It was a rare treat in what was so far turning out to be a torturous road trip.
I was finally let loose behind the wheel again, where a Bob Marley CD was my only good company. I kept a steady economical fuel speed. We passed the Western Australia and South Australia border and all they took off us was one onion which I wasn't to fussed about and they weren't bothered about cheese so all the cheese eating was for no reason what so ever. We got to just south of Caiguna where we spent the night in a lay-by in the middle of nowhere.
So until next time stay safe and take care
Adi
