Surprisingly for the first time on the trip we got a bit lost, it was nothing drastic but we ended up taking a much longer route to Augusta from Pemberton than we anticipated. When we got there we headed straight to Cape Leeuwin which is where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean. It is also apparently the most South West Point in Australia you can go. After that we headed into the city which was like a ghost town, I'm not sure if it was because it was slightly out of season or the fairly bad weather but the place was dead. We had some fish & chips which were good, but as I have said before in this blog, does anyone do fish & chips as good as the English. I doubt it! We then headed to our camp which was slightly outside Augusta in a national forest and got caught up in a raging thunderstorm. All was well though and we left the next day for our penultinump stop of the trip - Margaret River.
So until then stay safe and take care
