Well my last week in France has begun! Still can't believe how quick my time here has gone!!
Thursday was just a normal day at school:) had a few people tell me that my French has improved heaps which was awesome to here!
Friday- everyone in my year level had a four hour french exam and obviously I wasn't going to be participating in this (haven't improved THAT much!) so I didn't have a class until after lunch:) Spent the morning with Hervé organizing how I was going to send some of the things home as I have too much for my suitcase... He then dropped me at school in time to eat lunch there. Ate with Adrian, one of the Australians, wasn't the best lunch the school has put on but whatever!
Was home alone for a bit tonight so watched some NCIS in French :)
After dinner we watched Robin Hood but I was too tired to see the end.
Saturday- well Saturday was a great day! From 9.30-2.30 I did a cooking class with the other Australians which was so good! We leant how to make the savory black crepes called 'galette' that I have mentioned in previous blogs, and we also made the normal sweet crepes. Prepared all the mixtures by hand, (no electric mixer so my arm muscles are huge now!) and then we cooked them on the huge crepe maker things wear you swirl the mixture round to make a circle! Will upload pics so you can picture it haha
All of the sweet and savory crepes we made, we were able to take home:) and the lady who ran the class cooked our ones for lunch which were delish!! Dessert was a crepe with cooked apple on it, vanilla ice cream on the apple, crepe folded over the top and the famous Brittany 'caramel au beurre sale' drizzled over it...so so good!!!
*don't think about the calories Abbey*
After the cooking class I did a bit of shopping with Maryse and Maiwenn as there is a period of sales on at the moment and then that night we had sim of school friends round for a fun girls night in:) thoroughly enjoyed it, was a good way to spend my last weekend :)
Sunday (today)- this morning i went for a run! Then Herve and I had lunch with his parents, as Maiwenn had basketball in another town and Maryse was the chaperone for the team.
Came home and watched Harry Potter and then we all went to Maryse's parents and I said goodbye to her side of the family :)
School tomorrow, 8am start.. so time for bed! :)
