Day 32 - Cooktown, QLD
Saturday 14th November
Milly woke up and screamed "Jed, It's Saturday.........you know what that means?" I said unenthusiastically "what?" Milly replied with the biggest grin "MARKETS! There might be MARKETS on today" Jed replied "ok, I'm going fishing!"
Anyway on a serious not, yes there were markets but very ordinary and not much chop. Took all of 2 minutes to peruse and realise there was nothing there for us. We then strolled across the road for a coffee and some brekky down near the wharf.
We then took a stroll to the fishing shop to look at new esky's as ours is b*****ed and barely holds ice overnight!
The back to camp to do some washing and a bit of a tidy up and then spent the arvo in the pool cooling down with the neighbours.
We also planned a fishing venture down to the wharf in the afternoon after some friendly advice from the locals at the fishing shop.
When we headed to the wharf it was packed with locals but we found a little spot and began setting up and the challenge was on! Us against the neighbours.
