Day 20 - Monday 2nd November
Last night we sat and watched another electrical storm all around us but once again it produced nothing but a few drops of rain and a welcome breeze to lower the temperature enough to allow us to sleep.
Our little tent fan works a treat at nights to get us to sleep but does not last until the morning which means it gets quite warm in the tent if we try and sleep in too long!
The last couple of nights we have snuck down the road (10k's) to Adels Grove to say g'day to the staff behind the bar!
Adels Grove is quite a relaxing place and has camping and all other facilities and a small shop and they also do meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. We did not try the food here as our budget has been stretched beyond redemption already! Hopefully we can peg this back a bit when we get across to the east coast and start paying less for fuel and travelling shorter distances between camps.
This morning we had a slow lazy cereal breakfast before stuffing the camelback full of supplies and heading off for a trek down to Indarri Falls, passing a couple of lookouts along the way. We kayaked down to these falls yesterday and there was a bunch of people already there that had walked in via the track so we thought we would give it a go to be sure we wouldn't miss out on anything.
The landscape around the gorge and the contrast of the red rock and the green scenery was amazing, not to mention the beautiful green colour of the water.
Flies are hectic again today! They are unpredictable little suckers! Some days they're here and some days they aren't!
Once we got wrinkly under the waterfall we decided we better head back to camp. Didn't take us long to warm up again on the 1km return journey.
We spent the rest of the day playing musical chairs with the shade and lazing around the camp reading and relaxing. (Sneaking down for a quick dip whenever the body temp rose to much!)
We finished off the day with a 4.5km walk down to the lower gorge lookout and wild dog dreaming. (Location where aboriginal rock art could be seen).
The main purpose of this trek was to see a freshwater croc as the information mentioned that this was the best location to catch them soaking up the sun on the banks. We had no luck! Kind of disappointing in a way but kind of good to know they're not here in plague proportions seeing as we have just been swimming!
We had an early dinner tonight and started our pack up so as not to leave to much to do in the heat in the morning before we head off.

Our visitors from next door only had a short stay as they packed up and left this morning after doing a couple of walks.
