We picked up our little van this morning, a 2.4l Toyota Hiace. It's petrol, but I'm sure it'll still manage the job or Tazmania's hills and mountains jsut fine.
We start by heading off to a little town called Richmond. We stop for a spot of tea, and complete Richmond's two garden mazes. A bit of random fun thrown in there!
Richmond is a pretty place, with Australia's oldest church, and oldest convict built bridge, which is supposedly haunted. It's a nice place to stop by the river for a bit of lunch, but we push on to bigger and better.
We continue along the Tasman peninsula to stop at a couple of pretty rock formations and wave pools. This place is seriously geared up for summer tourism, and there are a host of free ranger led activities happening around the area. We bump into a guy on the beach, who shows us little creatures in the rock pools that we just wouldn't have noticed otherwise.
At night, we pull into a Fortescue Nature Park, and call it home for a night.
