Today, I nearly made Jacklyn cry...by taking her sea kyaking. We took a half day guided tour around Freycinet Bay, and had to paddle out over some massive waves in some incredible wind. Hard work, but great fun once we rounded the corner and had the current and wind behind us. The tour around the bay was nice and easy, and we saw some great view, but the journey back had to be cut short because the wind and current was just too much for the group. We paddle acorss the bay to the sea entrance, but pulled onto a boat ramp to get picked up. Still, we had fun, and Jacklyn even hinted she may do it again - but only on a mill pond!
Afterwards, we continued up the coast, and stopped at St Mary's for some famous Elephant Ridge Pancakes. I'd never heard of them, but they did tast pretty damn could. Following lunch, we pulled over at Peron Dunes: massive white sand dunes rolling down to the sea. After a few happy snaps, on to the camp site.
