Mikahla's Adventures Abroad
I had a nice relaxing rest of the weekend after clubbing on Friday night. I finished Harry Potter #1 and have now started #2(in Spanish of course). Monday I returned to school to meet my new teacher - he is great! Way more organized and professional than the last one and he actually speaks english, which allows him to help us with more difficult vocabulary words. He actually gives us homework - which we all are grateful for as we study at home anyways and now we have some direction. He is really nice and funny and I think he looks and talks a little like my cousin Jared which make me feel very comfortable with him. After school Monday a decided last minute to accompany Michaela(an Italian student) to Plaza Espana which has a big fountain and is nearby a place called Montjuic that is this awesome, huge, beautiful old building. Around it there are gardens and parks that are the best I have found in the city yet. In some parts there are so many trees you can't see a single building and some that are so big you can barely hear the cars:) There are also a good number of statues and pretty fountains around that give it a wonderful serene atmosphere. On the top of the hill is the olympic stadium and a sort of village where they held the summer olympics in 1992. It was a good day of sight seeing and I got to practice Spanish all day with Michaela which was really good for me.
All for now, Mikahla:)
