Well, I am off! Tomorrow I hit the open road(railway actually) and head south for the winter! I will take the Saturday morning train from Barcelona and arrive in Sevilla around night fall - about 10 hours in train to get there! The Iberian Peninsula (currently Spain and Portugal) has had a number of past ocupants including Moors, Arabs, and long ago, The Romans. When the Romans ruled the most important city was not Madrid or Barcelona, it was Tarraco - today known as Tarragona.
