Melbourne June / July 2009
A different set up again for the months of June / July (well half off it) as we haven’t done much as saving for the holiday in Tasmania. So will just highlight was we have been up to on the exciting days.
So actually the only real exciting thing for the month was a trip to the science works on the 28th with Mary, Marika, Angela and Sally. The purpose off our visit was to catch the Star Wars exhibition with film props from all six films. It linked in with the science works to see how some of the technologies could be used in the real work (yeah what ever). They had costumes and props the actors used, mini models used for the bigger vehicles scene shots. The 2 best parts were the remote control R2-D2 and the speeder Luke and Ben Kenobi used in ‘A New Hope’. It was a gorgeous day for the middle of winter. After we finished we took the train back into the city and done a little bit of shopping!
Into July on Saturday 11th we had a night out with Corinne’s friends from the Alfred for Christmas in July. We went to a Brazilian cabaret bar called ‘Coco cabaña’s. It was pretty cool and the food wasn’t too bad either which it was like a buffet style thing. The entertainment was ok and a lot of that dance fighting and ladies dressed up in Brazilian carnival style outfits. After the cabaret Corinne had finished the bottle of white wine and started dancing around swinging her jumper about. She then had a fit when Wolfie said it was time for home.
The rest of the month was then spent getting ready for the HOLIDAY.
