So ... having had a few IT issues (mental note: when whale watching next time, take suitable waterproof covers for both iPhone and camera), I'm now back on line, hurrah!!!! So where were we before my IT signed off? So, after a cooked breakfast at the hotel, suited and booted - into what would have been normally sufficient gear for a day's skiing in Chamonix, in temperatures of 0 to -15 degrees - we crossed the road, registered for our day's adventure at around 0820 and set off onboard a coach with guide Trinni. She's is an absolute blast - funny, intelligent and a fountain of knowledge. In the hour or so coach drive that takes us from Tromso, over the bridge (pictured), on to Norway's second largest island and beyond to the Arctic waters.
