Oh god, where to start?! We landed at Tromsø and whilst I've now managed to calm myself; all but an hour and a half ago, my heart was (literally) in my mouth ...We were up in the air, above the clouds, at around 10.24pm, when I happened to glance out of the window to my left. At first, it seemed like a cloud dancing around the wing outside. I peered on, weirdly mesmerised by what I thought I was seeing; were my eyes playing tricks? I don't think I actually looked away, as I unclipped my belt to lean forward; asking J to look outside. I didn't need to wait for the answer that never came. Best way to describe: just as you see it on TV, almost in a dreamlike state, as mystically as a Disney genie meanders up in a magical fluorescent haunting green aura, bare naked lady aurora was right in front of us - breathtaking, captivating and awesome. Personally speaking ... my fingers shook, my heart sped and, yes, soppy b***** that I am, I shed a tear or two as we watched the ten minute bewitching show unfold... AND BREATHE!
