Hi everyone,

Well we finally arrived in UK, plane trip good and the seats we chose worked out well, Singapore airlines were excellent.

As we came out from customs John and Maris' smilings faces were a welcome site. We haven't seen rain since well before Christmas but we soon learnt what it looked and felt like again!!! It's feels quite cool but my warm coat keeps the chill out and was pleased I had put my scarve and gloves in the carry on bag for easy access.

We were soon under way to Birmingham to meet up with the rest of the family, bed felt wonderful and sleep came quickly.

Our first job Saturday morning is to pick up the hire car, we have a Hyundai i40 auto diesel, with sat nav and heaps of bells and whistles that I think will be very comfortble for the next 5 weeks.

Tonight were we are going out to dinner with the family for Maris' birthday.
