7/10/17 - 7/13/17 Temp: 57 degrees low temp each day.
Saying for the day: I have no time to worry about who doesn't like me, I'm too busy loving the people who love me.
v We anxiously await the visit from our Grandson Justin, due to arrive after work today (10th). Have a nice dinner after his arrival, his favorite chicken and rice.
v Justin arrives about 10:00 a.m. (1th) We take a trip down to the pier to show Justin Mt. Ranier at the end of Puget Sound where we are staying. Have some steaks on the grill and then play some Mexican Train and talk about our trip into Seattle tomorrow - what time to get the ferry, etc.
v P/U Justin at 9:15 (12th) and head to the ferry; not one parking lot, garage, or anything open. We miss the ferry! But due to a kind (!) Meter Maid who helped us with our plight, we got a spot to park and literally, ran for the ferry at 11:20, half a mile away. We made it!
v Pike Place, with the fish tossed through the air; Billie the Bronze Pig, lots and lots of flowers for ridiculously cheap prices, and oh, so many people!
v Eat lunch at Fisherman's Landing, outside, under a big blue umbrella. Good clam chowder, fish and chips for the men, and Marge, you guessed it, Halibut! And Sourdough bread, for which Seattle is famous.
v Did a little shopping, but it's mostly just souvenirs.
v Get the ferry back to Bremerton and enjoy sitting by the fire for the rest of the evening.
v Say goodbye to Justin, we will miss seeing him but it was a wonderful visit!!
v Today (13th) we relax a bit, make a run to Fred Meyer for some 'vital vittles' and get ready to leave tomorrow for NEWPORT!
Where to next: Newport, Oregon, Newport Marina RV Park
