Happy Birthday Louise!!! I hope it's a good one... 19 already ahhhh!

Well today I had to be checked out of the hostel by 10am as Kat was putting me up for a few nights :) but she wouldn't be back from work till 4.30pm. I put all my bags etc into the hostel storage and went for a walk to find breakfast! And did I find breakfast... Oh me fresh pancakes with strawberries, fruit compote and mascarpone. Yum or what!

I took the opportunity to walk walk and walk. It was gorgeous along the beach so I just plugged in my iPod and took a daunder down to the marina/harbour area, and along the sea breaker where the mini penguins live. I didn't spot any though, it's apparently at sunset that's the best time to see them.

I headed back to the hostel in the middle of the afternoon to chillax on the sun beds. It was just lovely to do nothing and stop.

I left my bags in the hostel and walked over to Kats flat about 5ish and she has a lovely place. It took me a wee while to work out the street numbers but I got there no problem. Stopped on route for a couple bottles of wine at the liquor store too :)

The flat is so central for St Kilda and right on a tram line that takes you straight to the city centre. Kat looks so at home here and it is such a gorgeous place.

Anyways after a good few hours of non stop newsing, catching up and putting the world to rights, her flat mate, Ciara came home from work with the car. One of their friends is away to India for 10 weeks so has leant her car to Kat and Ciara. We then went for a drive to the hostel to pick up my bags and went in past Ciaras old house for her mail.

The evening was flying by and we hadn't had our tea yet, by the time we showered and got ready to go out it was after 9.30pm hehe. It was just the two of us, so went for tea to an Italian then went out in St Kilda! It was a really good night, and we must have ended up in 4 or 5 different pubs.

We just newsed and newsed about everything and got caught up. When we came back to the flat we had cups o tea and still newsed :)

Kat was working night shift for the next 3 nights over new year so this was our only night until the 2nd we could go out together.

It was affa fine being with a familiar face and just being able to unpack my rucksack and stop. It's so good seeing Kat again and being able to properly catch up.

By the time we were sleeping it must have been well after 3am! :)
