The two spoons finally managed to make a break for it and escape the horrors of San Juan. The place has left us broken, and we're craving some serious detox. Another rehab day or two in Granada therefor seemed like a flawless plan, and so far we're doing great!
We did have a lot of fun in San Juan, the original plan was to stay for 2-3 days... But our plans never seem to work out, and we ended up spending 9 or 10 days there. Actually San Juan is a pretty boring city, but somehow all backpackers tends to gather there and it's all about the late night parties, drinking games and hangovers. Doing that 8 nights in a row gets pretty intense.
We met a lot of awesome people in San Juan, some of them which we are still traveling with. Canadians mostly, but also Scandis, Americans and Narnians.
Y'day we went to the circus! Kinda more like a freakshow rather than a circus, but it's possibly the funniest circus we've ever seen! They had fighting midgets, possibly prostitutes, possibly even shemales, aggresive snakes, monkeys riding horses and a lot of stuff u normally wouldn't see in a proper circus.
There's a few good beaches around San Juan, but in 10 nights we only twice managed to drag ourselves onto one of them. That pretty much sums it up.
There isn't too much to blog about atm really, or there is, but not everything is meant to be read by your innocent eyes... I could mention that Nicaragua is prolly the cheapest country we've been to so far. We're basically spending like 30 USD a day, which covers 3 meals, accomodation and a beer or two or fifteen.
From Granada we're headed to a treehouse, in the jungel just outta town. We're gonna spend a could of days in the top of a tree! How cool does that sound!?
Oh, and btw... Granada is a lovely town!
