Loyalty!
What Loyalty!?
So. Onto the A380 British Airways flight with my 'business' class fare (Greedy Qantas having snatched more points) which is essentially called 'Club Class'.
On asking snooty BA hostess if my ticket got me any more 'bang' I was promptly told "everyone" on plane is 'Business'! Honestly! What a bloody liberty!
Simply confirms to me that when my Frequent Flyer "loyalty" program is due for renewal this December I will certainly not be renewing/paying!
There is absolutely no reward aspect to it!
I have used my ANZ (fee paid) card for 20 years: saving enough points (so I thought) for a 'rewarding' business class flight across to and in Europe!
From the moment I started booking (8 months ago!) I've had nothing but obstacles and opposition! The flights I was able to choose were all at odd hours, most did not have business class available during my times (trust me! I remained flexible with dates too!), they were outside of convenient travel times for public transportation and transfers and there was inability to upgrade on partner airlines after booking (therefore not able to use points to upgrade anyway); not to mention not even being able to fly the actual airline my program is essentially with!
The taxes associated with the "reward" flights was nearly as high as a fare would have been anyway! In fact, a friend paid less for a similar flight path!
Shame on you Qantas! Not very friendly, nice or honourable!
Now I have that off my chest, I'll continue to enjoy this once in a lifetime journey! I apologise if anyone takes offence.
But, my high flying 'friends'; just know, I'm the wrong person to have off-side and am happy to counteract any (pretend) positive Marketing 'spin' u peddle! Certainly won't be long until not only I, but many others will give your pathetic "loyalty" program the big shift, or, at the very least, take a bloody good look at your selfish, disrespectful farce!

Just for the record (aside but similar). I actually didn't find Emirates Economy as 'special' as everyone raves about either!
...Sami! (AKA Sally): I'm sure you'll be relieved to see "the b**** is back", for a short stint anyway!
It reminds me of something I think of often:
It may sound like I'm really ANGRY (apparently my 'go-to' emotion) but it's important to understand that most times sadness and disappointment can come through as such!
