Trip Log Day Five 19.03.05 Woke up in La Fraudiere, the sun was streaming through the velux window and it was about 9.30, too late for a run. James did a big sigh of relief. Friends of ours Gordon and Neil have kindly lent us the key to their French property in the Vendee between Chantonnay and La Chataigneraie and we are taking full advantage of this fabulous location. They are meeting us here for Easter. Had porridge for breakfast which set us up for giving the house a spring clean. We went to La Chataigneraie to buy provisions (more wine!). Super U supermarket is fatal when your trying to budget. The weather is fantastic and we were sunbathing most of the afternoon. We are both fidget pants and cannot sit still for long so we decided to collect some wood for the fire that we are now relaxing in front of. We also managed to put to put some text on the web site for the last few days but it seems that photos are still unsuccessful as you can probably tell from the photos that show other scenes from France. We need a tecno expert to help us. Maybe Gordon can help when he arrives. James picked some flowers and apple blossom to put in a vase. My, this ole house sure does look pretty! William made friends with a French p**** I don't think she speaks English because she wouldn't come to William's constant encouragement. We fixed a broken pane in the kitchen window, tomorrow we will try and get some glass (should be interesting trying to explain, we don't know the French for glass, broken or window!) William has put a big log on the fire which wont take and its hissing a lot (the log not James) I think its time for another glass of wine. PS William found James' watch, missing since before we left. However did it get in that bag?
