After Exmouth we made our way towards Broome, we stopped for few days on the way at Karratha and Port Hedland, both places were quite dull and salt mining places! So we were quite eager to get to Broome, we chose to stay in a caravan park right next to Cable Beach called Palm Grove. Cable Beach was gorgous, we went down there the first night at sunset and the beach is so long and sandy, camels walk along at sunset (we didnt go on one as it was a bit pricey!) The weekend we were there Broome was having a pearl festival and on the sunday night we went down to the beach to watch the sunset again and they had a stage up with local singers and dancers performing. We watched for quite a while and at the end there was a massive fire work display which we didnt know was going to happen!!
We spent a week in Broome and must admit that we didnt do a great deal apart from lay in, eat, go to the beach and swim pretty much everyday! We actually met some people our age aswell on our campsite so we were able to go down to the tavern with company! The only bummer in Broome was Hooters got an ant infestation, the little sods got into our bread and cereal that we had just bought! So the ants disrupted swim and beach time but we destroyed them all with lots of chemicals hahaha!
So Broome was lovely but after a week of being so lazy we felt like we should move on towards Darwin!
