Not written here for awhile so thought that I should write something just so everyone knows I've not been abducted or anything! Had a few quiet weeks really, just been trying to save the pennies as much as anything. My week's work at the Darling Harbour went well, was the easiest money I'll ever make that's for sure! Just had to scan people's name badges and assist the speaker with time prompts etc. Paid for 3 weeks rent too so that was good. Met some nice people as well.
Also went to the Australia film premiere the other week, it wasn't very nice weather, was that fine stuff that wets you, and we had to wait about 2 and a half hours for all the big stars to turn up, but we got to see Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman although my pics were abit blurry, was good fun, and I'd def go again if another good film was premiering in Sydney.
Just spent 5 lovely days with the family, we did lots of groovy stuff like go to Watson's Bay for Doyle's fish and chips, go to the Imax theatre and also a meal up the Sydney Tower. Was absolutely amazing! The views were unbeatable, and the meal was an all you can eat buffet, we all had 5 courses and I was struggling by pudding, which was a shame as there were many lovely things to eat. I shall upload my pics when I get chance. Was nice to have an excuse to get dressed up as well. Was very hard to say goodbye to everyone, but I will be seeing our Daryl and Amanda at Christmas so that will be nice. Went to see the James Bond film Quantum of Solace on Wednesday night with Fiona, was a good film, don't think it was quite as good as Casino Royale but still worth seeing.
In other news, I now have a job! Woohoo! It is quite far from where I live, a bus and a train ride away in St Leonard's, but it was the only job I've been offered since I have been here, and after 8 weeks I was just getting sick of looking! It is appointment setting for a call centre, you only have to get 2 appointments an hour and they pay $20, which is quite good. Least I will get paid for 2 training days and 3 probationary shifts even if I'm pants at it! Hopefully it will all go well, will have to see, can only try my best and see what happens! Will update this with my pics and news of how my first week's work went soon!
