OCEAN GROVE WEEKEND!

After being given a copy of the "house rules" on Friday morning I was very glad to leave for the weekend.

Ian picked me up from work and we made our way down through Geelong towards the great ocean road. We arrived at the "house" at 8.30. It is actually a garage behind another house which has been really nicely converted. Into a surf style shack. We had been told we were staying in the four beds to the left of the communal living area, well when we opened the door we were rather amused to find 4 beds all tight up together in one corner… cosy to say the least. As the only girl as I didn't mind sharing with Ian and Daniel it was ok, but thank god we didn't invite Ay up( mad turk.).More close for comfort was the fact that the bathroom had the fridge in it, with no separate door so we had to make announcements to let each other know when we were using the facilities… quite funny really. Although it sounds like I am moaning, its only because OG was made out to be a palace so my expectations were very high. That said I would love to have the option of just going down on the weekends to stay there as its it really nice ( for a converted garage.) Joy who owns the houses though likes to collect things. The normal house has hundreds of Cd's, Videos, bags shoes, Ocean grove is full of hundreds upon hundreds of blue things and surf memorabilia!

That night we decided to eat out, as the only cooking facilites is the BBQ and microwave so it was too much hastle. We went to a really nice thai restraint, which was cheap .. and I had the best prawns ever!! After that we were planning to go for a drink, we found a pub attached to a hotel. The main bar was closing up at 10pm but the side bar was still open so we had a look. I was rather pleased to find a small bar full of young rather handsome men, so much so that I didn't notice I was the only girl in the place. Daniel and Ian decided they didn't want to stay ( I wonder why?) so we went home and settled for ice cream and one of the many movies!
