Unfortunately another day wasted by travel our two trip bus journey gets us to Popayan in the dark. The bus journeys take a long time to get anywhere, when driving their un maintained winding mountain roads. After our delicious and very much appreciated free breakfast, Alfredo the lovely hostel owner drives us to Salento, a small village ten minutes drive away. We pay 40 COP each and hop in a 4x4 jeep up to Valle De Cocora a valley up in the mountains located in the Central Cordillera of the Andean mountains.
