Trailor on Tour
When we woke up today I went outside and checked out the views we had been unable to see the night before, only to find 2 sheep lying around by the car looking very unconcerned by our presence.
The drive continued along the Southern Scenic road and we stopped at Nugget Point, Roaring Bay and Kata Point en route to Dunedin.
As we were driving into town everything looked remarkably shut, despite it being a Monday - odd. It turned out to be a local bank holiday!
Straight to Starbucks and the internet to research where and what to do next.
Once done it was really miserable weather and so we went to the supermarket and checked into a hotel to sort all our crap out. When you have a car everything slowly migrates from your bag to the vehicle. We just hauled everything out and dumped it in reception, before getting a trolley to get it up to our room. This resulted in much hilarity as there was soooooo much junk and as I was manouvering the trolley out of the lift a bag of food fell out. I managed to rescue everything excpet a bag of crisps before the doors shut, crushing them and popping the bag before trying to descend with crisps still in place.
Much sorting, laundry and packing later and we sat down to a picnic on the carpet. Bubbly, olives, salami, smoked salmon, houmous, some other dip, feta, sundried tomato, salad, roasted peppers and crackers - YUMMMMMMMM. We also had a TV and so watched trash - Jerry Springer - from bed before I could take the morons no longer and switched off. Bet the room stank of garlic!! S xx
